Tell us your story
I was married for 12 years. It ended with me being 6 months pregnant and marriage ending. On the day of my caesarean, I was working in the morning. I had to as I knew I had to be financially independent for no person to control me or the way I choose to live. During the 3 years of finally releasing the claustrophobic tentacles (including court cases galore to futureproof my kids and my sanity), I asked the universe to provide me a job I loved and financial security. With guts, tenacity, and just sheer determination - I set up a successful business and in the process, emotionally/psychologically stronger. I teach my now 4-year-old daughter the value of being a strong woman. I never tell her she is bossy. I tell her she is a leader. And I hope what she witnesses in me, will resonate with her to become a warrior for her future generation. My ambition is to continue being of service to the community and talk about what I endured, to inspire others who are in a similar position.
If you could go back in time, what would you tell your younger self?
For a star to be born, there is one thing that must happen: a gaseous nebula must collapse. So collapse.Crumble.This is not your destruction. This is your birth. I would tell my younger self that I will survive and be the person you were always meant to be.
What does "living freely" mean to you?
Living freely is the ability to say no to someone else's manipulative requests. The ability to trust your intuition to make the best decisions for you and society.
